Beslan Child Slaughter Muslim Horror

Compiled by Lewis Loflin

Being sad isn't enough: Pictures from Beslan Photographed from above, the body bags look empty. They seem to lie flat on the ground, and it's only when you peer closer that you realize that that's because the bodies in them are too small to fill the length of the bags. They're children. Pictures are very graphic. September 2006.

The Beslan child slaughter shows just how far radical Islamists will go in their conquest of the civilized world to impose Islam. Often funded by wealthy Arabs in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States, the US government refuses to deal with them for political reasons while the leftist-liberal press plays political correctness.

This is war, both cultural and religious. The enemy has melded a violent medieval religion with modern fascism and communism. It is aimed at everybody, secular or religious, Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindus. They are joined by an equally evil ideology that sympathizes at least with the aims of radical Islam in destroying the West: radical Leftists. In reality both are the same in practical terms.

Both oppose democracy and individual freedom for various brands of forced collectivism and an end to capitalism. Islam wants to destroy Christianity and Judaism, both particularly hated by Leftists. Both want to destroy America, the world's most successful capitalist nation and the most religious of the major western nations. Muslims want to impose Islam, while Leftists want to impose the pseudo-religion of Marxism.

Both want to destroy Israel, seen as an American outpost. For years we ignored the savages Israel deals with every day. Now it isn't just Jerusalem or Tel-aviv, it's Russian schools, subways, and hospitals, Spanish trains, American office towers, Buddhist statues, Turkish banks and Synagogues, Iraqi schools, mosques, and grocery stores, Australian vacationers in Bali, and even a Dutch film director murdered in the streets. To quote Melanie Phillips,

...instead of learning the correct lesson that the current horrors are the result of a failure to act, the west has succumbed to historical amnesia over those previous attacks. It is convulsed instead by hysteria over the war on Iraq, with absurd conspiracy theories about Zionists and 'neo-conservatives' surfacing instead almost daily in the mainstream media and driving out rational debate.

One local writer said it well:

As terrorist videos taken inside the Russian school gymnasium are belatedly shown on TV, the depravity of the so called dissidents who carried out this massacre becomes ever more clear. Watching the children sitting on the gym floor, eyes filled with fear, while their captors strut and point at the bomb detonators makes one want to join a vigilante band bent on imposing swift and certain justice on these cowardly "freedom fighters."

With these horrific images in mind, why is it that media have registered far more moral indignation and outrage at the fitting of ladies' panties on the heads of Iraqi prisoners than on the premeditated, cold-blooded murder of nearly 200 children, along with a similar number of adults? We have been bombarded with journalistic hand-wringing about the alleged abuses, naked prisoners, and overzealous interrogations at Abu Ghraib prison.

Yet the media seems unable to look directly at evil and describe what it sees. Time and again, suicide bombers and other terrorist attackers are shown in a neutral, matter-of-fact way, followed by a talking head implying that the Israelis, or Mr. Putin, or the Americans are really to blame. There is nothing the Russians could have done in Chechnya that would justify what happened in that school.

It can be argued that the perpetrators are the modern equivalent of Hitler's brown shirts and SS, and that the radical Islamic mullahs and ayatollahs are but reincarnations of Hitler, Goebbels, and the rest of the Nazi leadership. One sought world domination by a superior race, the other seeks a theocratic world dominated by Islam. During Hitler's rise to power, a Brit named Chamberlain became infamous for declaring "peace in our time."

Today the Spanish, the French and many others, including our own media and the political left, seem ready to turn a blind eye toward radical Islam and, however unintended, end up echoing Mr. Chamberlain. The terrorists who blew up the Spanish trains think they caused Spanish troops to be pulled from Iraq, and thus claim a victory for Islam. Could the terrorists in Russia have been emboldened by events in Spain?

In any case, the murdered Russian children are tragic reminders that this threat to western civilization must be stopped, and any sign of weakness on our part only invites more suicide bombers. It's time for an elite, international special forces unit to be created to go after them, irrespective of national boundaries.

Face the truth of Islamic terrorism

Jim Berry's excellent letter Sept. 11 correctly points out how the leftist press soft-pedals Muslim terrorism. A recent CNN report on the slaughter of 12 Nepalese workers referred only to "Iraqi militants" and never mentioned Islam or even Arab.

But quoting American ex-Muslim Nonie Darwish on the Beslan child slaughter: "the world media and the U.N. (must) take a serious stand against Islamic, yes, Islamic, terror ... condemning terrorism with serious consequences to oil rich Arab countries that finance terrorism ... and no diluted language by the international media ... I cannot defend the cruel teachings and hate speech in my culture of origin ... there is no cause in the world that should justify this insanity. I lived it and know what will end it ... a united world stand against the Arab's stagnant and barbaric view of the world ... the world cannot stand by, confused and equivocal about 9/11 and Islamic terrorism any more. ... "

Yet President Bush panders to Saudi Arabia and ignores its sponsorship of Wahhabi terrorism including 9-11. Bush can't even say the word "Islam" or "Arab" while Kerry wants to be more sensitive to their feelings.

Mr. Berry also points out the Nazi connection. The Arabs, Chechens, and Bosnian Muslims were all Nazi collaborators. The spiritual founder of the PLO and Arafat's "uncle" (Mufti of Jerusalem) is a convicted Nazi war criminal that headed the Bosnian Muslim SS in Yugoslavia. Bush must stop putting Saudi oil and corporate profits ahead of the lives of our troops. The leftist media must tell the truth and stop playing political correctness.

This Islamic Nazism must be defeated. It's a war of survival, and I vote America.

Muslims want us dead

Several letters have been critical of President Bush and the war in Iraq. One suggested we are no better than the terrorists and some call the war "Mr. Bush's Folly." Like it or not we are at war, and the war did not start in Iraq. The war started in 1979 when the Muslims in Iran attacked our embassy.

Since 1979 America has been attacked 10 times. We cannot fault either the Democrats or the Republicans for these attacks, as there were no provocations by any of these presidents or their predecessors.

There have been over 1,000 American deaths due to Mr. Bush's war in Iraq. The total death toll in this war since 1979 is more than 6,000 Americans and most were innocent civilians. In each case the attacks against the U.S. were carried out by Muslims.

Why were we attacked? Envy of our position, our success and our freedoms. Our success and freedom didn't come easy or cheap. It was accomplished through hard work and the sacrifices of those who were willing to give their lives so that the rest of us could enjoy the success and freedom that we have. Show me one Muslim country that has anywhere near the freedoms, human rights or the success that America has.

So the question is not whose war is it, but where is it. Would you rather fight the war over there or here? Remember, the Muslims want us dead, not just quiet. Their terrorist attacks will continue and become even more violent, and they are committed to winning at any cost. If we want to continue to be the land of the free and home of the brave, we better be just as committed to winning at any price. Any nation that gives in to them is doomed.

There are those who would let the United Nations fight this war. Give me a break. What has it ever accomplished? Our president is doing what is right. We, as a free nation, must understand that this war is a war of humanity. We must remove evil men from power so that we can continue to live in a free world where we are not afraid. I hope to God that my grandchildren don't have to learn to speak Arabic and bow to Allah. Wake up, America, before it's too late.

Leftist Support of Islamist Terror

Most shocking is the outright sympathy of many leftist-liberals for Islamic fascism. They said little about the murder of 500 Russian civilians, many of them children, but screamed week after week because some Arab savage at Abu Ghraib prison wore a bag on his head. They cared nothing about the beheadings committed by the Islamo-savages or the execution of 12 Nepalese. David Horowitz gives an excellent discussion of who this "Left" really is. He calls them neo-communist, I call them Leftist-Liberals. I'm a classical Liberal myself and I feel it's time to remove this irrational element that has been allowed to poison our good name.
