Hispanic Male charged with kidnapping, assault in Kingsport Over Facebook Page

A Kingsport man has been arrested after allegedly holding his girlfriend against her will and hitting her with a gun. The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office reports responding to the Holston Valley Medical Center emergency room on Saturday. A patient, Tiffany Hopson, claimed the incident began Thursday night at 375 Snapps Ferry Road, when her boyfriend saw a man on her Facebook page.
All of this over some man he saw on her Facebook page.
Jose Valeriano, 40, of the residence, allegedly pulled a gun and knife and refused to let Hopson leave. Valeriano reportedly hit her in the head several times with a gun, causing it discharge on one occasion. Hopson said she was able to escape once Valeriano fell asleep.
Police report Valeriano was located during a traffic stop on Cox Hollow Road and arrested. He is charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and felony reckless endangerment.
Update: Other reports claims the women was arrested outside the hospital for failure to appear.
