A Muslim is "moderate" only when they reject Mohammed

Under the guise of political correctness, it seems civil and human rights don't apply to Muslims in many Western nations, in particular women and girls. Honor killings get big headlines and are somewhat rare, but far more common is forced and arraigned marriages, polygamy, etc. Terror and intimidation is daily life for those desiring to live as free human beings and not as chattel to uphold some medieval traditions. These aren't the typical family fights, but a real danger for some. By refusing to enforce western laws and looking the other way as Shari'a (Muslim Law) is openly flaunted, presents a potential danger to all of us. Where the hell is the ACLU and the feminists? Why is it the few brave Muslims that try to reform this culture find themselves alone in the battle?

The problem is pandering to Muslims and their abuse of the system. In many cases they want more Muslims to move into the West from their own failed nations and culture. With an arranged marriage to a "cousin" back home, they maintain their tribal culture and get him/her a Green Card. They want to transplant that failed culture to the West, not join it. Islam is not a religion as much as it is a fascist-style culture that controls every aspect of one's life. We don't just get the Koran; we get the Prophet Mohammed and the culture that evolves around his actions and life. That's where the problem is.

America has certainly had religious groups that sought to set themselves apart from the general society. The Amish and Orthodox Jews and some Mormons are good examples. But when anyone (including Mormons in recent cases) cross the line into child marriage and polygamy, they can be sent to prison. Islam seems to be ignored on this even in America. But Islam also differs in that it seeks to subvert the entire culture. It seeks converts, condones religious violence (Muslim Brotherhood, Wahhabism), and is at total odds with the US Constitution. It is a political movement as much as religious and should be treated as such.

The simple fact is that Muslims may retain Allah, but must reject Mohammed the man, both his words and deeds. But what do we have left? In fairness the Koran has nothing about honor killings, the Hadiths I don't know about. Other groups such as Hindus, etc. do the same thing

The main reason for studying the life and actions of Muhammad is that his life is considered an ideal example for believing Muslims, as noted in Quran 33:21. Since his life is quite different from that of Jesus, knowing Muhammad is useful.

One of the repeated themes of the Quran is to fear Allah and obey his messenger. This requires knowledge about Muhammad. Since the Quran is the sayings of Allah, not Muhammad, the primary source for knowing the life and example of Muhammad is the Hadith, which also describes a lot of fundamental concepts of Islam. This example is collectively known as the Sunnah. The Quran and the Hadith are the two legs of Islam. Without either, it would not be a complete religion.

What the Koran says on beating a wife:

4:34, If you fear highhandedness from your wives, remind them [of the teaching of God], then ignore them when you go to bed, then hit them. If they obey you, you have no right to act against them. God is most high and great. (MAS Abdel Haleem, the Qur'an, Oxford UP, 2004)

This hadith shows Muhammad hitting his child - bride, Aisha, daughter of Abu Bakr: Muslim no. 2127:

"He [Muhammad] struck me [Aisha] on the chest which caused me pain."

Please spare me the fact non-Muslims also abuse their wives; they do and should be punished for it. But the Bible doesn't say to do this while the Koran does.

JIBLA, Yemen - Arwa Abdu Muhammad Ali walked out of her husband's house here and ran to a local hospital, where she complained that he had been beating and sexually abusing her for eight months. Arwa was 9 years old. 10-year-old named Nujood Ali had gone by herself to a courthouse to demand a divorce, generating a landmark legal case...The average age of marriage in Yemen's rural areas is 12 to 13, a recent study by Sana University researchers found. The country, at the southern corner of the Arabian Peninsula, has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world...

"Her father, Ali Muhammad al-Ahdal, said he had agreed to the marriage because two of Nujood's older sisters had been kidnapped and forcibly married, with one of them ending up in jail. Mr. Ahdal said he had feared the same thing would happen to Nujood, and early marriage had seemed a better alternative..." The New York Times (June 29, 2008) broke this sick story, and in its usual political correctness blamed it on poverty. They claim there are efforts to reform these practices, but there is little evidence of it. The problem being not poverty, because the same thing goes on in wealthy Saudi Arabia, but in Muslim culture and the reverence of Mohammed. The husband (who was 30) and the father of this child were supposed to be jailed.

According to Muslim tradition:

"The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, "Had the Prophet the strength for it?" Anas replied, "We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men)." And Sa'id said on the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives only (not eleven)." [Bukhari.1:268]

When she was 6, Muhammad asked Abu Bakr, Aisha's father, for her hand. Abu Bakr thought it was improper, because, as he said "I am your brother"; Muhammad brushed aside Abu Bakr's reservation by saying that it was perfectly lawful for him to marry Aisha [ Ref: SAHIH BUKHAR I7:18].(He waited three years.)

...So, Aisha was betrothed to Muhammad, and 3 years later, (when Aisha was 9), the marriage was consummated. And Muhammad was 53 then [SAHIH BUKHARI 5:236,7:64,7:65,7:88] Aisha became Muhammad's favourite wife. Later, Aisha was to be called the "mother of believers."

Muslim Home Schooling

According to the New York Times (March 26, 2008), "Of more than 90 Pakistani or other Southeast Asian girls of high school age who are enrolled in the Lodi (California) district, 38 are being home-schooled. By contrast, just 7 of the 107 boys are being home-schooled, and usually the reason is that they were falling behind academically."

So what is the problem with girls? The story goes on about Hajra Bibi, a girl jerked out of public school when she reached puberty. Her parents plan? They "wanted her to clean and cook for her male relatives, and had also worried that other American children would mock both her Muslim religion and her traditional clothes." So why were boys not wearing traditional clothes? Cutting through all the NYT political correctness babble, they simply don't want the girls to be Americans and plan to marry them off in forced or arranged marriages.

To quote, "Their families want them to retain their culture and not become Americanized," said Roberta Wall, the principal of the district-run Independent School, which supervises home schooling in Lodi and where home-schooled students attend weekly hour long tutorials...As soon as they finish their schooling, the girls are married off, often to cousins brought in from their families old villages. The parents "want their girls safe at home and away from evil things like boys, drinking and drugs." Then why does that not apply to Muslim boys? Very simple. Under Islamic Law a Muslim man can marry a non-Muslim. (The children are always forced to be Muslims.) A Muslim girl will often be murdered for marrying a non-Muslim. They can also be murdered for refusing to marry the right boy or demanding a divorce.

Another girl, Aishah Bashir is typical; "now an 18-year-old Independent School student, was sent back to Pakistan when she was 12 and stayed till she was 16. She had no education there." Muslim Honor Killing in Atlanta

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX Atlanta July 7, 2008) - A Clayton County man was behind bars Sunday, accused of killing his own daughter. Police said the father was angry because he felt his daughter was disgracing the family. Investigators said 54-year-old Chaudhry Rashad was so outraged at his daughter, Sandela Kanwal, and her plans for divorce that he killed her after a heated argument at the family's home. Investigators said Rashad confessed to strangling the 25-year-old woman.

"The family is very upset and stressed," said Shahid Malik of the Pakistani American Community of Atlanta...Police said the victim had been in an arranged marriage and hadn't seen her husband, who lives in Chicago, for months. Malik said arranged marriages are not uncommon for Pakistanis. He said the marriages are usually accepted and successful, although young people living in American might develop problems with them. "Their minds are changed when the live here due to this system," said Malik...

(Let's note that this savage is an American citizen according to news reports, so why is it he can't speak a word of English, which is required for immigrants for citizenship, and why did he require an Urdu translater in court?)

JONESBORO, Ga. - Twenty-five-year-old Sandeela Kanwal was not happy with the marriage her father had arranged for her. So after the ceremony was performed in Pakistan three months ago, she went to Georgia and her husband went to Chicago. Early Sunday, after a heated argument with her father, police in Clayton County near Atlanta said, the Pakistani immigrant allegedly took a bungee cord, wrapped it around his daughter's neck and killed her...

The problem of "honor killings" and other domestic violence after failed arranged marriages is spreading...(among)...culturally rigid Pakistani and Indian immigrants...Such cultural unions serve as social contracts among South Asians and other communities, where a marriage agreement is more about families joining forces than about two people finding love...When the marriage breaks down, both families are dishonored - especially the bride's...Subsequently, "family members, parents, are the ones who end up either taking their life or further abusing them." In arranged marriages, "even if [the husband] is beating her and very abusive toward her, because of the very strong patriarchal underpinnings, she is the one who has committed the crime by leaving him or by wanting out of this relationship...In accordance with Pakistani custom, Kanwal (the victim) had traveled to Pakistan three months ago to marry a Chicago man, also of Pakistani descent...There is a stigma in the wife wanting the divorce."

Note: The PC police are adamant this isn't another honor killing.

Family Sentenced for 'Honor Killing' of Woman

In Denmark, nine people were sentenced to prison this week for the "honor killing" of 18-year-old Ghazala Khan. Those sentenced included Khan's older brother, her father, three uncles, an aunt, and a family friend. Khan's Pakistani family plotted the murder in response to their disapproval of her choice of husband.

In September of 2005, two days after her wedding to her long-time boyfriend, Khan was shot and killed in front of a train station by her older brother, Akthar Abbas. Her husband, Emal Khan, was shot twice in the stomach but survived and is now under police protection.

On Wednesday Khan's father was found guilty of planning the killing of his daughter and sentenced to life imprisonment, reports the Associated Press. Her brother and two uncles were each sentenced to 16 years in jail. The five other family members and friend were sentenced to eight to 14 years in prison, reports BBC News. Experts say this is the first time in Western Europe that a group of people, not just the perpetrator, were sentenced for a so-called honor crime, reports Reuters. This case is expected to set a precedent in other countries and to have a preventive effect, according to The Copenhagen Post 6/28/06.

Murdered over a hijab

A Mississauga, Ont. man will be formally charged with murder in connection with the death of his 16-year-old daughter. The girl, Aqsa Parvez, was in critical condition on Monday after being strangled, apparently after a dispute with her family over her refusal to wear the hijab, the Islamic headscarf worn by some Muslim women...

The victim's 26-year-old brother, Waqas Parvez, was also charged with obstructing police. Friends of the teenager, a Grade 11 student at Applewood Heights high school, said Monday they were shocked by the attack on the outgoing, likeable girl, but said she had been threatened by her strictly religious family before.

Ebonie Mitchell, 16, a friend of the victim, said the conflict with her father over wearing Islamic dress came to a head at the beginning of this school year. "She just wanted to dress like we do," she said. "Last year, she wore like the Islamic stuff and everything, the hijab, and this year she's all western. She just wanted to look like everyone else."

The Koran:

Sura (24:31)- Commands women to "draw their head scarves" over their neckline as well.

Sura (33:59)- "Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them..."

Sura (24:31)- "And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or those whom their right hands possess, or the male servants not having need (of women), or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is hidden of women; and let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be known." The woman is not only supposed to cover herself, except with relatives, but to look down, so as to avoid making eye-contact with men.

From the Hadith:

Bukhari (6:321)- Muhammad is asked whether it is right for a young woman to leave her house without a veil. He replies, "She should cover herself with the veil of her companion."

Bukhari (60:282)- After Muhammad issued the command (Sura 24:31) for women to cover themselves, the women responded by tearing up sheets to cover their faces.

Abu Dawud (2:641)- The Prophet said: "Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who has reached puberty unless she wears a veil."

Sanctity of life in Islam?

In Islam a man (or woman) can be killed for the right reasons as follows:

  1. If an infidel (other than Christian and Jew) refuses to convert to Islam.
  2. If a Christian or Jew refuses to convert to Islam and also refuses to pay Jizya tax humbly
  3. If a Muslim becomes an apostate or stops practicing Islam.

The Koran has over 160 violent sayings calling for murder and torture of infidels. Some examples:

Q 47.4 "when you meet those who disbelieve smite at their necks till you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thus you are ordered by Allah to continue in carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam."

Q 8.12 "I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

Q 9.5 "kill the Infidels wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and convert to Islam, then leave their way free."

Q 9.29 "Fight (and kill) those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

Q 4.89: "If they turn back from Islam , take hold of them and kill them wherever you find them."

Q 4.90, 8.67: "It is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land."

And here is the reward:

Q 9.111 - "Allah guarantees paradise for those who kill or are killed for Allah"

Torture:

Koran 5:33 "The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Prophet and make mischief in the land, is to murder them, crucify them, or cut off a hand and foot on opposite sides...their doom is dreadful. They will not escape the fire, suffering constantly."

Koran 48:27 "If the Muslims had not been there, We would have punished the unbelievers with a grievous torture."

Koran 9:5 "When the sacred forbidden months for fighting are past, fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, torture them, and lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."

Koran 5:37 "The [Christian] disbelievers will long to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out there from; and theirs will be an enduring torture."

Koran 8:12 "Your Lord inspired the angels with the message: 'I will terrorize the unbelievers. Therefore smite them on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes."

Tabari VIII:96 "A raiding party led by Zayd set out against Umm in Ramadan. During it, Umm suffered a cruel death. Zyad tied her legs with rope and then tied her between two camels until they split her in two. She was a very old woman. Then they brought Umm's daughter and Abdallah to the Messenger. Umm's daughter belonged to Salamah who had captured her. Muhammad asked Salamah for her, and Salamah gave her to him."

Polygamy in the Fast Lane?

Mohammed Anwar was doing 64 mph in a 30 mph zone and got hauled into a Scottish court. The Muslim restaurant owner had two wives living in separate cities. (Glasgow, Motherwell) Under Islamic Law, he is allowed to have up to four wives. Somebody forgot to tell him Great Britain wasn't a Muslim county (yet) and Islamic Law doesn't apply. Or does it?

To quote, "Anwar admitted the offense, but Sheriff John C. Morris accepted his plea not to be banned and allowed him to keep his license. Instead, he was fined £200 and given six penalty points." The act of polygamy in itself is a criminal act that should have landed him in prison, but was accepted as an excuse for breaking another law.

Creeping Shari'a

This is nothing new for Britain as western officials continue to look the other way at polygamy and other barbaric practices even to the point of rewarding them with extra welfare. Reports also claim this goes on in Ontario, Canada according to Islamist Watch. And when a Muslim gets away with one criminal act, is it really surprising they get even more extreme? This in the end hurts all Muslims.

Female Muslim medics 'disobey hygiene rules'

Muslim medical students are refusing to obey hygiene rules brought in to stop the spread of deadly superbugs, because they say it is against their religion.

(The) Minutes of a clinical academics' meeting at Liverpool University revealed that female Muslim students at Alder Hey children's hospital had objected to rolling up their sleeves to wear gowns. Similar concerns have been raised at Leicester University. Minutes from a medical school committee said that "a number of Muslim females had difficulty in complying with the procedures to roll up sleeves to the elbow for appropriate hand washing". Sheffield University also reported a case of a Muslim medic who refused to "scrub" as this left her forearms exposed...some students would prefer to quit the course rather than expose their arms, and warn that it could leave trusts open to legal action. Hygiene experts said last night that no exceptions should be made on religious grounds... Ref. 04/02/2008 telegraph.co.uk

AMSTERDAM (AP July 19, 2008) - A Dutch court punched a hole in toughened immigration restrictions on Friday, ruling that an illiterate Moroccan woman cannot be required to pass a Dutch language test in order to join her husband in the Netherlands. The order dismayed politicians who have sought to curb immigration from non-Western countries, and they vowed to fix the law to cover the loophole exposed by the Amsterdam District Court. On the other side, the ruling was applauded by rights activists who say the government should scrap the requirement entirely, which they say is discriminatory and violates international law.
