New page: Debunking Political Correctness

Welcome to my website that's now been on the web for 14 years! To understand the views of the three websites I operate can be stated as follows:

Question everything...

This from the Science Channel is exactly what I do. Science is based on reason, empirical proof, and the scientific method. Truth is based on verifiable facts, not political correctness or what the ruling class dictates. I point up a lot of facts others simply won't address in order to spur thought and force people to think for themselves. If one doesn't like it, that's OK too.

Science is my main passion be it a lifelong study of earth science, constructing electronics projects, or teaching electricity/electronics in a local community college. In college I took a year each of physics, chemistry, and biology along with 40 years experience in instrumentation, repair, RF, micro-controllers, and prototyping.

Sorry I couldn't complete my 4-year degree due to my wife's disability and lack of money. I don't have a wall full of degrees, but never gave up a passion for learning. Yes I could have run up a lot more debt, etc. but financially an advanced degree simply isn't worth it at my age (55) in the terrible job market that exists today. I was told by the welfare idiots to get a divorce or accept income restrictions because she is uninsurable and is on Virginia Medicaid. I decided on marriage and have no regrets.

I'm former US Army and my alternate website to this is www.bristolblog.com. Here is A picture of my duty station in West Berlin

I grew up and graduated high school in Norton, Virginia from John I. Burton High School in 1977. For more on Norton Virginia area see Remote Area Medical 2008. I left King College in Bristol due to financial reasons and graduated with honors from Northeast State Technical Community College in Computer Information Technology and university parallel.

Yes I'm on Facebook and Skype.

"We can not command religion, for no man can be
compelled to believe anything against his will."

These words from Theodoric the Great are my motto. I'm a freethinker (not the modern version) and classical Deist along the lines of Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson. I have a lot of material I've written debunking or debating various "revealed" religions. But classical Deists revere and respect tradition. That makes me a 19th Century Liberal (not democratic socialist of today) and a libertarian.

Regardless of my views on Christianity, which are derived from my reading of the Bible, America was founded on Christian culture and Christian ideals, not a uniform Christian theology as such. It was this "Judeo-Christian" framework that united the many varying beliefs (including those of Unitarians, American Deists, and Jews) into one united stand for liberty.

I also believe the Declaration of Independence should be treated as the preamble to the Constitution in order to be properly understood. Together they are the basis of American law and mean what they say without the use Marxist' "deconstruction" to mean anything someone can invent.

I also debunk a lot of secular nonsense. I define many secular belief systems as pseudo-religions because they take on the emotional force of a religion. I don't believe being an atheist, Christian, Deist, or whatever makes anyone good or bad. Being evil (yes there are absolutes) comes from inside and has little to nothing to do with poverty, schools, etc. and simply can't be socially engineered away. Not recognizing this is simply folly.

Marx claims religion is the "opiate" of the masses. Then Marxism is the "opiate" of the modern leftist. Leftism is simply a pseudo-religious remapping of economic Marxism.

I believe in freedom of conscience, but that doesn't mean one has a right to be accepted or force their belief secular or religious on others. Secular/Progressive bigots are no different than religious bigots.

Political Correctness be Damned

I consider modern liberals/Progressives to be racists and hypocrites. These self-hating whites and self-hating Jews (non-Jewish Jews as Dennis Prager calls them) are so hostile and alienated from their ancestors and culture it borders on irrational. The press is so biased and out of touch they are equally worthless. So here I present facts the press suppresses.

Also all hate crime laws to me are unconstitutional and are not equally enforced. It gets into suppressing speech and has differing legal standards for differing people. One law for everyone equally and impartially enforced. Make all cross-racial violent crimes into hate crimes or repeal them all. End affirmative action and multiculturalism (anything anti-white) racism.

This is from what I call racial Marxism or others call cultural Marxism. Cultural Marxism, political correctness and other lies will have no place on this website. Get used to it now or go away.

Facts are not racism.

Blogging: this website covered in the Kingsport Times-News This website was featured in a special edition of the Kingsport Times-News. This website and writer have been quoted in the Richmond Times Dispatch, Los Angeles Times, Kingsport Times-News, and Bristol Herald Courier.

Mass evictions at Clear Creek Mobile Home Park This involved my effort to expose the mass evictions of 50 low-income families from a local trailer park while Washington County Virginia Government handed out $10 million in corporate welfare to a strip mall developer. This illustrates the often criminal indifference of local government and why government programs never work.

I don't consider religion and theology to be the same thing. I use the term "theology" in terms of the textbook definition of a particular faith. Thus by the definition of the Nicene Creed Catholics, Protestants, and the Eastern Orthodox are all Christians regardless of their theological bickering. The Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are not theological Christians, but are Christians culturally and on every other level.

Religion is not just theology, but culture, economics, and a worldview as well.

Thus to be a Christian in general means belief that Jesus is some form of salvation deity, not merely a human philosopher. Liberal Christian churches that reject this and substitute whatever fad feels good this week are not Christians, simply a humanist or New Age social club.

The same thing with secular Jews that try to reduce Judaism to liberal social causes and reject God are not Jews in my book, thus have no right to yell anti-Semitism to silence criticism of the often destructive social and political far too many have adopted. Also see the section on Judaism below.

Jews by the way did not kill Jesus, the Romans did. He died for violating Roman Law, not Jewish Law. The Jews were right to reject Christianity because the claims of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, is at total odds with the Old Testament and even Jesus Himself on many occasions. Paul never met the earthly Jesus, and Mark, Luke, and likely Matthew were his followers. John is Gnostic in origin and the Church later removed the second half to cover this up. More on Gnosticism below. Also see the following:

Science versus religion

Science

Science has been a life-long love and I'm very defensive of it. I reject the abuse of science to bolster various political claims and the invasion of money, religion, and politics into research. I define science as strictly the description of the physical operation of the universe as defined by my chemistry professor in college, a devout Christian. I've had college level physics, chemistry, and biology, but claim no expertise in these fields. I've read every science text in the school library and have been an amateur geologist since I was a kid. I loved collecting fossils and rocks from the coal-mining sites near Norton, Virginia. Strip mines are great for collecting fossils.

I'm very strict on the scientific method and the proper use of it. To quote, "It is a process for making observations, recording data, and analyzing data that can be duplicated by other scientists...If a theory cannot be tested, it cannot be a scientific theory." That makes me a big skeptic of any claim that refuses to follow it. Without verifiable scientific proof I'm not going to buy into it for the same reason I reject literal Six-Day Creationism.

Scientists Excited by Arctic Ocean Ridge Finds This illustrates again just how little we really know about the earth when a series of new volcanoes formed under the Arctic. That is why we must question these things.

20th century not warmest, researchers find Extracts from a University of Delaware study showing climate change as normal and modern claims are mild compared to earlier historical trends. Ever wonder how Greenland got its name? In fact this very process of geological and climate change is what drives biological evolution, an ongoing natural process.

How climate change has altered history:

I love science fiction and I'm well aware many of these writers such as Jules Verne and H. G. Wells were ahead of their times, but they also got a lot wrong. Verne for example predicted electric power for submarines because primitive submarines and electrical generation (batteries) existed at that time, but he had no inkling of nuclear fission reactors. This in no manner could be called a prophecy. Same thing with Darwin (1809-1882) who never used fossils or knew anything about modern genetics (Gregor Mendel 1822-1884) or radio-isotopes. In 1896 the French physicist Antoine Becquerel discovered the radioactive properties of uranium. Marie and Pierre Curie explored radioactivity and in 1898 found that it was associated with atoms. They discovered radioactive polonium and radium. Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895 discovered X-rays. Darwin knew none of this.

That was how real science works when we have real things that pass the scientific method. Time travel, dark matter, and black holes are still speculation and science fiction. Consensus doesn't cut it without proof. The increasing use of computer models as hi-tech crystal balls that don't reproduce conditions in the real world must be rejected. Virtual science is just another role-playing game. Note once again: "If a theory cannot be tested, it cannot be a scientific theory." That means in the real world. These points are vital in understanding science.

Evolution debate in schools This is an overview of evolution and the conflict in local public schools. I am an evolutionist and always have been. Literal Six-Day Creationism as espoused by many well-meaning Christians is simply scientific nonsense. The fact is there is no conflict between a belief in God and science. There is a conflict with certain Christian' interpretations of the Jewish Torah or Old Testament. I never had any conflict because I've never been a Christian and that has nothing to do with evolution. Christians create atheists and I'm sick of religious fundamentalists and dogmatic Humanists tearing the system apart to promote their own political agendas.

My view is simple in that God has no place in the science classroom because science isn't about God, but the mechanical workings of the universe and that God transcends the universe. A proper understanding of science and its limitations (and it's very limited) can't deny the fact there's a clear order to the universe, not a random jumble of atoms and molecules. The fossil record clearly shows purpose and design. The scientific method has not produced a shred of proof life began by random chance nor does it prove humans are just some cosmic accident in an empty and purposeless galaxy. There are clearly forces beyond mere science at play here and if these dogmatic Humanists are so accepting of "dark matter" then God is just as acceptable, in fact more so.

The Evolution Wars Rage On in Bristol VA/TN by Lewis Loflin Thus evolution is the work of God and the method by which God made a habitable world for us to live in. One mentor I had growing up in an Appalachian coal town was a physicist on the development team that designed the atomic power plants (radioisotope thermoelectric generator or RTG) used on the Voyager 1 and 2 deep space probes that went to Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

They were launched in the late 1970s. These amazing devices are powered by heat produced by the decay of plutonium-238 (half-life 87.74 years and not the plutonium 239 isotope used in nuclear weapons) and provided about 470 W at 30 volts DC. This is called the Seebeck effect using an array of thermocouples. For more on this see my section on thermocouples. Both probes are still operating today and have left the solar system! He was a devout Christian. There is no conflict between science, reason, and God.

Influences on me:

Science Under Attack

While many picture religious fundamentalists as being the enemy of science, there are secular enemies out there in dogmatic Humanism and pantheistic environmentalism. Both abuse science to achieve often mutual social and political goals.

What New Age Religion? This is one of my top-ranked webpages with Google. It explores what I consider irrational nonsense that floods modern American society and a discussion of its origins and impact. It's a syncretism of secular philosophies and Eastern religion. Environmentalism is closely related to New Age religion in it's pantheistic tendencies. New Age religion acts much like a virus invading and destroying other beliefs from the inside.

The Ages of Gaia Exposed My critique of James Lovelock and his book The Ages of Gaia. Highly influential in modern Green theology, it's a look at how pantheistic nonsense invades science.

What is paganism? Paganism should be separated clearly from environmentalism and New Age religion. This was written by a pagan, not an irrational New Age mystic.

Why Calling Environmentalists "Pagans" is Wrong I have no problem with rational pagans.

To quote Frank Furedi Professor of Sociology at University of Kent, "...the authors of children's books and school officials also use environmentalism as a vehicle for socializing youngsters." This is not a function of schools that today produce millions of dysfunctional and illiterate graduates. If the Religious Right did this there would be screaming in the faculty lounge. What happened to separation of church and state?

Gnosticism

Gnosticism an Overview by Lewis Loflin. Gnosticism was the New Age religion of ancient times. Predating Christianity, it infiltrated Judaism producing what would become Christianity through the Apostle Paul. Gnostic ideas are highly sought after by modern News Age practitioners. As modern Christian and Jewish institutions continue their decline and import modern New Age garbage, what will they produce?

Platonism and Christianity The Fathers of the early church sought to explain the striking resemblance between the doctrines of Plato and those of Christianity...

Related historical events leading to Christianity. Don't forget the New Testament was all written in Greek for good reasons.

Freethinkers and Atheists

Freethinker does not mean atheism. Militant atheists hijacked this term when it really meant those liberal theists and Deists that apply reason to religious matters. My view is we need both God and traditional values in combination with humanism and reason. Classical humanism in no manner is anti-God. So-called "secular" and religious humanism are both just atheism today. Atheists are no more evil than Christians, most Christians are not like Pat Robertson.

Stop the ACLU

Getting Beyond Political Correctness

This website is aimed at Americans, in particular preserving Western Culture against Marxist' political correctness and to counter irrational American bashing. The information is presented to promote debate and alternatives ideas. These are the questions I ask:

Why does the left-wing ACLU team up with the US Chamber of Commerce along with labor unions to advance the interests of illegal aliens over legal American workers? Or we have far-left eco-extremists passing laws banning inexpensive incandescent light bulbs that's signed by a "Christian" conservative Republican president? What happened to Rule of Law and the Constitution?

What is wrong when we have "war on terror" and one of the primary promoters of terrorism (Saudi Arabia and its state religion of Wahhabism) is protected, while our troops die fighting Saudis in Iraq? Why do we tolerate a racist' education agenda with No Child Left Behind? Why is anti-white racism acceptable including murder and assault, but flushing a Koran is a "hate crime?"

Hate crimes laws need to be revoked. They are not equally enforced being targeted at certain groups and ignored with others. They undermine the ideal of equal treatment under the law when an identical crime for one group is considered worse for another.

Who pays for mass illegal immigration? The working poor, mostly black, recent immigrants, and poor whites. They have no representation by anyone. The ruling class is white, uncaring, and out of touch with the typical American black, white, or otherwise. One study says White Families' Wealth Advantage Has Grown, while Paul Craig Roberts discusses costly immigration and who really benefits.

A Look at Radical Islam

Reclaiming True Liberalism

Liberal as used in America today should be called socialism. Classical Liberalism as practiced by Jefferson, Washington, etc. includes the following:

  1. an ethical emphasis on the individual rights over state, community, or society,
  2. the support of the right of property carried to its economic conclusion, a free-market system,
  3. the desire for a limited constitutional government to protect individuals' rights from others and from its own expansion.

Why such a rejection of socialism?

  1. Its economic and social theories are failures.
  2. It's purely political and totalitarian in nature.
  3. It operates as a pseudo-religion, producing fanatics as irrational as any religious fundamentalist.

David Horowitz gives an excellent discussion of who this "Left" really is. He calls them neo-communist. Horowitz has an excellent definition I agree with:

they are determined to intervene, regulate and control your life, or redistribute your income...the term "liberal" should be reserved for those who occupy the center of the political spectrum; those to the left should be referred to as leftists, which is what they are...

Many on the Left (however defined) are silent about the murder of 500 Russian civilians, many of them children. Quoting Dennis Prager,

the left does not care about women, independent judiciaries, minorities, democracy, gays or almost anything else for which it marches...are noble-sounding covers for...the overthrowing of Western, especially Judeo-Christian and capitalist, values...America embodies all that the left dislikes...

To quote a visitor to this website:

I think it is safe to say, that with the election of Barack Obama as president, that there is no way that a tiny elite of rich powerful Jews controls the world. The conspiracy theories that say a tiny elite of rich powerful Jews controls the world are undeniably flat wrong. If there was such a powerful group they would have never let him become president. The Jewish conspiracy theory is completely busted.

D.C. RN, BSN

The Wall Street Journal reports (April 22, 2002) that some colleges are recruiting Jewish students to give them higher status in terms of SAT scores. The Journal also reports that highest three groups in SATs are Unitarians, Jews, and Quakers.

More on Judaism

I support Israel for the same reasons I support democratic Hindu India over Islamist Pakistan. Nor will I waste my time trying reason with irrational people obsessed with conspiracy theories. Jews don't seek converts, they don't rule the world or me, and I don't consider them or anyone else some special chosen anything. Jewish contributions to society are far out of proportion to their numbers. Their secret to success is the same for Unitarians, mainline Protestants, and Asian immigrants; hard work, education, and thrift.

Jews are not a race or even an ethnic group anymore than Catholics are, but a religion. A Jew is one that practices Judaism as defined by at least a belief in one G-d that reveres Moses and Torah. An atheist born of two Jewish parents is an atheist, and one who converts to Christianity is a Christian, not a Jew. Let's not get into these absurd "neo-con" and Freemasonry conspiracy theories used inter-changeably with Jews. There is no known organizations of neo-cons and is often a leftist slur. As far as Freemasonry, many of the founding ideals of America come from them. George Washington and 27 signers of the Constitution were Freemasons.
